Froehling Anderson was founded in September 1946, which makes September 2016 our official 70th anniversary.
For me, this milestone year has been one of both reflection and anticipation. It’s remarkable to think our organization has existed for 70 years, and to tally up the industry shifts our accountants have seen. From vacillating regulations to emerging technologies, our firm has remained buoyant in a sea of change. Perhaps it’s because we’ve always powered ahead; we’ve always cared about forward momentum.
But despite the evolutionary nature of our business, we’ve managed to hold tight to our mission: To provide creative financial solutions with objectivity and integrity to closely held businesses. Since our start in Excelsior, Minn., we’ve worked with closely held businesses and not-for-profit organizations across a broad slate of industries. We’ve built our firm—adding talent, services and technology—around a desire to help our clients navigate their own changing landscapes.
As we sail past our 70-year milestone, we are looking ahead to a promising horizon: in mid-November of this year, we will move into a brand-new office space. We aren’t going far—our new office will be just a few blocks away at 400 Highway 169 South. It will give us the ability to better meet the growing needs of our clients as well as much-needed space to grow. In case you’re wondering, our phone and fax numbers will remain the same; only our office address will change.
Yes, there is much to celebrate, and many to thank. First and foremost, we are grateful to our clients—the individuals and organizations who have entrusted us with important pieces of their lives for so many years. It is a great honor to serve each and every one of you. And I can’t help but look around our office and feel incredibly thankful to work alongside such incredibly gifted individuals. Our staff members wholly deserve every bit of recognition they receive.
As we approach the year’s end, we look forward to sharing more about—and celebrating—our 70th anniversary and move with you.
