When Sherri Roseen joined Froehling Anderson in 1989, she brought with her a passion for numbers and a deeper passion for helping people. With a strong foundation in math and a heart for service, she quickly became a trusted advisor to her clients and a supportive mentor to her colleagues. It wasn’t long before others noticed her potential: “You could be a partner one day,” former partner Dave Wasmuth told her during her very first review. “I held them to that,” Sherri says with a smile.

And she delivered. Over the course of her career—including her leadership in the Business Advisory and Consulting Department and her time supporting clients through the Finance and Accounting Services Department—Sherri became not only a valued partner, but a pillar of Froehling’s culture.

Now, with 40 years in public accounting and a legacy built on excellence and empathy, Sherri is preparing for her next chapter: retirement.

Looking Ahead

Sherri and her husband are excited to embrace the rhythms of retired life. They’ll stay in Minnesota during the warmer months but look forward to spending winters in Arizona—finally becoming snowbirds after 36 busy seasons in the Minnesota cold. A trip to Puerto Vallarta with friends kicks things off in January 2026, and visits to family and friends across Minnesota, Arizona, and Canada are high on the list.

For the first time in decades, Sherri won’t need to set an alarm clock. “Being able to choose how I spend my time and make plans on the spur of the moment—that’s something I’m really looking forward to,” she says. Of course, she’s aware that retirement brings its own learning curve: “I’ve heard you have to plan to stay busy—but I’ve also heard you can be busier in retirement than you ever were working!”

Looking Back

Retirement has given Sherri the chance to reflect on her career, and the people and memories that have shaped it. “There are so many memories flooding back,” she shares. “I remember pulling up outside the office on 2nd and Water Street in Excelsior for my interview and thinking, ‘I know this is where I’m going to work!’” That same confidence has stayed with her throughout her career.

When asked what she’ll remember most, her answer is immediate: the people. “It’s the employees and clients who have made this place so special. I’ve made some lifelong friends.”

Sherri’s leadership legacy is woven into Froehling Anderson’s DNA. She hopes to be remembered not just for her technical expertise, but for her willingness to help—whether it was mentoring a colleague, supporting a client, or contributing to the firm’s growth and culture.

Her parting advice for the team?

“Always stay curious—about your work, your clients, and their businesses. You’ll learn so much along the way.”

At Froehling Anderson, Sherri believes, anything is possible. And she’s proof.

With Gratitude

Sherri, thank you for your decades of heart, passion, and leadership. You’ve shaped this firm in countless ways, and we are better for it. We’re thrilled you get to trade your desk chair for a seat on the plane, but we’ll miss you dearly. We’re cheering you on in this next well-deserved chapter!

Congratulations and happy retirement!
