Katie Buchanan

Katie’s love of challenges and finding a stable industry to work in, is what initially brought her to the accounting field. She has experience in both public accounting and private industry and brings a vast amount of healthcare knowledge into her role with various clients at the firm. Having worked in internal audit for one of the largest non-profit healthcare networks in Minnesota, as well as for a certified public accounting firm, the strengths she’s developed through these experiences include customer service, communication, dedication, and problem-solving.

A dedicated CPA since 2015, Katie has tackled a variety of challenges because of the accounting industry’s ever evolving work. Navigating these challenges has grown and stretched her professionally as well as personally. She is proud to be a part of the Froehling Anderson team, working in Business Advisory and Consulting Services where she gets to partner with clients across multiple industries to deliver services that will help their business flourish. And as if that’s not enough, she gets to work with people who truly make her day brighter.

When she’s recharging away from the office, Katie enjoys taking her kids to the park, running errands, and getting to sleep in on a Saturday morning.

Jacob Gregg

Jake has been business-focused for as long as he can remember. He’s been consistently drawn to numbers and analyzing relationships and discovered he could use both of those skills in accounting. When he was in college, he initially pursued a degree in management, but after he took some accounting classes, he quickly realized this was the path for him.

Right after graduating from college, Jake joined the Froehling Anderson team in 2018 and hasn’t looked back. His strong abilities to communicate well, problem solve, and think critically, are what make him excel in his day-to-day tasks and in his relationships with his clients. No day is the same and he’s always learning something new. He is passionate about developing individual relationships with his clients and learning how their companies operate.

When he’s recharging away from the office, Jake enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, camping, and traveling.

DJ Jahn

DJ knew he liked taxes when he prepared his own tax return. He was hooked by the process and wanted to learn all he could. After spending 6 years in the Navy, he decided it was time to get an accounting degree and start preparing taxes. His wife recruited him to join the Froehling Anderson team and he hasn’t looked back.

He approaches tax returns like a challenging puzzle and enjoys the process. With his flexibility, analytical mind, and technical expertise, DJ finds creative solutions to help his clients save money. Along with his enjoyment of teaching and passing his knowledge on to others, he values the relationships he gets to build with his clients to help ease some of their financial burdens.

When he’s recharging away from the office, DJ enjoys going camping with his family in their travel trailer.

Chelsea Milliard

Chelsea brings extensive wisdom and knowledge into her career as a CPA. She’s worked at both mid-size and large-size firms, which has allowed her to connect with clients and professionals across the globe. Networking and connecting with others have played a pivotal role in her accounting journey. Serving the clients, meeting their financial needs, and going above and beyond to ensure their financial well-being are the reasons why she is passionate about her career.

Having had several years of experience in both the accounting and the hospitality industries has allowed her to excel in accounting while also building meaningful client relationships. Her strengths in communication, customer service, and analytical thinking drive her ability to solve the toughest of financial puzzles.

When she’s recharging away from the office, Chelsea enjoys reading with her husband, time with family, artistic expression, and house projects.

Stephanie Puncochar

Stephanie was introduced to the accounting field because of her love of numbers and ability to problem solve. As a former Controller of 22 years for a small manufacturing company, she has extensive hands-on experience coming alongside clients to help them understand profitability. Her proficiency with QuickBooks Pro-Advisor empowers her to guide her clients in recognizing their areas of excellence and suggesting effective ways for improvement.

Stephanie’s love of helping clients find solutions to their problems as well as helping them discover more efficient processes and systems, are just a couple of reasons, among many, why she’s passionate about what she does. She thrives on helping her internal team learn various aspects of their job to broaden their knowledge and offerings to each of their clients.

When she’s recharging away from the office, Stephanie is spending time with her family, fishing in the great outdoors, or deep into a good novel.

Haley Schanks

Haley’s love for numbers, solving problems, and helping clients is what initially drew her to the accounting industry, but before she pursued her career in accounting, she was deep in finance. After completing an internship and having three years of financial industry experience under her belt, she gained tools and skills that helped her expand her business knowledge while connecting with clients across various industries.

After the invaluable experiences she had in finance, Haley was still drawn to accounting. She worked hard to study for her CPA licensure and passed the exam in 2020. She then joined the Froehling Anderson team in 2021 and hasn’t looked back. She has strong communication and project management skills and is passionate about taking intentional time to get to know her clients and their businesses so she can understand how to help them succeed. It’s her innate ability to relate to others that makes her a trusted advisor.

When she’s recharging away from the office, Haley enjoys going up north to the cabin, spending time with friends and family, and playing sports.

Karlee Werner

Karlee’s interest in accounting started from a young age. With her parents owning a business, she grew up watching her mom handle all the accounting. By the time she entered high school, she decided to try an accounting class and was hooked from the beginning. She eventually discovered she enjoys learning about the technical side of taxes as well as finding creative solutions to help clients not only save money but to also make wise financial decisions for their future.

After completing an accounting internship, Karlee joined Froehling Anderson full-time in 2016. She is always willing to lend a hand when questions or issues arise and that is evident in the relationships she has built with her clients over the years.

When she’s recharging away from the office, Karlee can be found reading or going up north to her parent’s house on the lake with her husband and their dog.
