When things are not going well, you can always count on Sherri to find the silver lining. Her empathy, curiosity, and intentional listening skills are just a few, among many, of the qualities that she consistently models when she’s interacting with her clients and colleagues. They have come to know her as the best kind of optimist: a contagious one.
Her background in math combined with an interest in helping others with their accounting records made it an easy decision for Sherri to pursue a career in accounting. She joined Froehling Anderson in 1989 and is a partner in the firm’s Business Advising Department where she strives to provide value to and the best service for our clients. Now, with 40 years of experience in public accounting, she likes to say that at Froehling Anderson, anything is possible – for both staff and clients. She enjoys helping others learn, grow, and achieve their goals.
When she’s recharging away from the office, Sherri is relaxing by the pool, reading a book, and spending time with family and friends around quality food or good music.

Accounting has intrigued Joe for as long as he can remember. As a child, he regularly overheard family members – several of whom are small business owners – speak highly of their accountants. When he found himself at the head of his college accounting class, he quickly realized it was the career for him. Drawn to the culture and proved to be a good fit, Joe joined the firm as a staff accountant in 2005. Since then, he has come to appreciate his profession even more, “Every day is a different story,” he says. “And it’s always something new and interesting.”
As a partner in the firm’s Tax Department, Joe prides himself on being, as he put it, “someone who people can lean on and trust.” Having spent his first seven years at Froehling Anderson as a “generalist”, his varied background allows him to assist clients with issues of all shapes and sizes.
When he’s recharging away from the office, Joe enjoys being there for his family for trips to the baseball field, beach and zoo. In the fall, he spends his Sundays watching football and rooting for his Fantasy Football team.

Growing up, Dave wanted to be a teacher. Although he ultimately found his calling as an accountant, his 40-year career has centered on guiding others — clients and colleagues — to success. He joined Froehling Anderson in 1979 and is a senior partner in the firm’s Business Consulting Department. He relies upon his past experience, which includes serving as managing partner from 1997 to 2004, to help clients navigate strategic business opportunities.
He is involved in the firm’s continuing education program and, through his involvement with Pecos River Learning Center, he has conducted several seminars throughout the U.S. and Europe. For Dave, the appeal of accounting mirrors that of teaching. “Accounting gives me the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others,” he says.
When he’s recharging away from the office, Dave makes a positive impact through his faith, family (wife and son) and nature photography.
Kari, a natural problem solver, fell in love with accounting because of its similarities to solving a puzzle. She likes discovering the pain points business owners have and the things that keep them up at night, so she can find a solution to relieve their worries. While her love of puzzles and challenges drew her to the profession, it’s the people that made her stay.
After realizing how much information numbers hold, if you know how to read them, Kari quickly learned that those numbers communicate a story, and she wanted to know the stories of her clients. Her experience working with closely held businesses who are passionate about what they do, she gets to hear firsthand how their one idea turned into the business they have today. Their passion about their business combined with Kari’s passion for accounting, they work together to understand the company through numbers, and plan for a successful future. Her passion is the people.
When she’s recharging away from the office, Kari loves to spend time with her family and friends exploring the great outdoors, playing sports, and traveling.
Michelle was consistently drawn to any class that was business or numbers centered. She decided to pursue accounting in college and quickly realized this wasn’t just something she was good at; it was something she was passionate about. Helping her clients achieve their goals by assisting them with their financial situations fuels her passion for the work she gets to do.
The first five years of her career was spent in state income tax advisory. Michelle later joined the Froehling Anderson team in 2020 and desired to expand her knowledge even further. She started working in Federal and State income taxes to gain experience in different industries within the Tax Services Department. Each day brings new challenges and new problems to solve, and it pushes her to keep learning and growing as she uses her skills of critical thinking, communication, time management, and attention to detail to find creative solutions for her clients.
When she’s recharging away from the office, Michelle can be found spending time outside with her family; hiking, walking her dog, camping, boating, or playing soccer.
